Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! {Coffee Talk at Thierry Cafe}

We have been wanting to visit the hugely popular Thierry Chocolaterie Patisserie Cafe in downtown Vancouver for quite sometime. We wanted to see exactly just what everyone raves about.
We had one specific goal in mind and that was to have a coffee and try their famous macarons and we have to say, they did not disappoint.

thierry3IMG_6496We’re not claiming to be macaron ‘experts’ by any means. But I’m not going to lie, these cranberry flavoured macaron’s were absolutely delicious. OMG! With the right amount chewy and sweetness, they were a perfect sweet lovers treat. It is now Natasha’s favourite!

thierry11The chef and owner Thierry Busset, originally from France, is world renowned for his fabulous baked goods and has won numerous awards for his creations. The Cafe offers a variety of delectable sweet treats, artisanal sandwiches, organic quality quiche, signature blends of coffee and tea and assorted alcoholic beverages. We went with vanilla lattes and of course we were like giddy little girls when they served our coffees with pretty designs on the tops! It did not go unappreciated on us.

Around the corner and a short walk from the Thierry Cafe was the store that we couldn’t wait to go to since it opened this past August. Victoria’s Secret. It is one of their largest stores in North America and the 2nd largest in the world after their New York flagship location. We were more than a little excited to finally go!

IMG_20140211_131011tThe store has 2 levels and it is quite spectacular to see. Between the 2 stories, along the stair wells are floor to ceiling screens that display constant visuals of Victoria Secret models at their famous cat walk shows. The environment is completely a girl’s lingerie heaven.

Uh, yeah, who doesn’t want to pretend even for a second that they are one of those stunning VS models flaunting their angel wings? A girl can dream!

We had to check out the latest Target collaboration with London clothing designer Peter Pilotto.  His signature prints are colourful, bold and modern. Check out the funky sunglasses!

At the T&T market we stocked up on our latest favourite find, Lavender Milk Tea. Oh My God. A girlfriend brought me a few packets of this tea awhile ago when I wasn’t feeling well and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. We buy it regularly now.
Check out the adorable sweet selection they offer at the market.. So cute!
