Wet n Wild Fall 2014 Favourites

IMG_9064t2222Today we’re sharing our latest favourite products from Wet n Wild. Truth be told, we haven’t had much exposure or experience using this particular line. Not sure the exact reasons for that… perhaps we haven’t shopped in the few local stores that do carry the line here in Canada. Regardless, it hasn’t been a cosmetic line that’s been highly visible to us.

Upon further research of the line we learned that the Wet n Wild brand is Cruelty-Free & Peta-Certified which is super important to us. Also, Grammy award-winning artist Fergie (of the Black Eyed Peas) is their Global Beauty Ambassador and has her own line, the Fergie Center Stage Collection. All in all, we were super excited to try out their products and they definitely did more than impress us just a little!

This was the first time we’ve tried Wet n Wild eye shadows and have to admit, we didn’t expect to actually like them let alone really, really like them. A LOT! We were extremely shocked at the pigment quality and the wearability of them. I tried them with and without using an eye primer and they actually held up perfectly during a work day. I was amazed.

This palette contains 8 complimentary colours that range in pigmentation and shimmer. We love how the shadows are labelled so if you are unsure of how to apply the shadows, you have a guideline. You can use a colour individually or apply a combination to create endless looks!

IMG_9032g3COLOR ICON EYESHADOW TRIO in Silent Treatment

This trio has become one of our favourite shadow compacts. The colour combination of this particular compact are perfect for everyday. I preferred using just a swipe of the eyelid colour all over the eye lid for an everyday type of look at work. It added just the right amount of pop combined with a liquid liner along the top lash line. Perfect for daytime!

IMG_90d1bCOLOR ICON BRONZER SPF 15 in Reserve Your Cabana (2013 Spring Makeup O-Wards Winner)

This Icon Bronzer used lightly on your cheek bones and decollete provides that gorgeous luminous glow!

IMG_9000bbMEGA GLO ILLUMINATING POWDER gives the perfect subtle iridescence to your cheek bones, neck, chest and body.

Tip: We like to use the multiple shades individually for accenting the cheeks, contour, cheek bones and highlighting under the brow bone.
Tip: Use a big fluffy brush to combine all of the hues for an all over body glow. Lovely.

MEGA LAST LIP COLOR in colours Carrot Gold and Stoplight Red
MEGA SLICKS LIP BALM STAIN  in Lady And The Vamp and Pinky Promise (Laura’s fave)
MEGA SLICKS LIP GLOSS in Sweet Glaze and Red Sensation (Natasha’s fave)

The pigmentation and quality of the Mega Last Lip Colours (pictured right) are amazing for the price (only $2.29!). They leave a semi-matte finish and are actually soothing due to the Vitamin A & E. No bleeding or cracking and they come in a variety of gorgeous colours. You really can’t beat the quality for the price. The Mega Last Lip Colours are comparable to some higher-end brands. We’ll definitely be picking up a few more colours for this Holiday season!

IMG_9044r2This Balm Stain in Pinky Promise is so smooth and moisturizing. The colour is absolutely beautiful.
They are available in 6 pretty shades, enriched with Acai palm Oil to protect and coat your lips with a smooth layer that hydrates and prevents feathering.
